Gorges

The gorges in Oiti are particularly impressive and widely known because they offer unique experiences and challenges to those who are interested. Canyoning (descending gorges) has made mountain Oiti very popular. At least 11 remarkable routes of descent have been found. The most important points of access for the gorges are the villages: Gorgopotamos, Loutra Ypatis, Kompotades and Mexiates. The recorded routes of descend which have permanent safety equipment in order to facilitate the access for the initiated to the sport are the following:
